History
Starhouse, historically known as Sternwirtkeller (Star Inn), was built in 1839 under the medieval town wall (its fragment still exists inside the building) and is an officially registered cultural monument. It was composed of wine cellar, inn and garden saloon. In 1920s a traditional Czech bowling was added. In 1886-1945 the building belonged to count Karl Buquoy. In 1945 it was confiscated and then passed to other owners. In 2002-2008 the building was owned by Richard West, the keyboardist of British rock band Threshold. Since 2008 it is owned by Luxorta s.r.o., a Czech company specializing in realty management.
